Sonnet for English Class "Insanity is Reality"

With a breath of air, I think about life.
Would it be bad if I start new and well?
Live on a normal life without one strife?
My life will be good, my life would be swell.
My morbid suicide thoughts in the past,
Thinking of life; no strife, no deaths, no lies.
Seeing escape stairs; I need to think fast.
Wrong moves will cause me to be friends with flies.
A doctor has seen me, what will I do?
He calls for guards, I will be prisoner.
Running around, I don't know what to do.
A ledge I jump and fall; Death my helper.
And with this fall; I begin life anew.
And on this last note; I bid you adieu.

This poem corresponds to the excerpt from your short story? It's really good. I can relate to wanting to start life anew and letting go of all the troubles of the past. Your character sounds really troubled and again can only find freedom by jumping or be held by the 'mad' doctors. It's sad but at the same time kind of happy that they found peace. (Does that make sense?)

Adieu! ( I admit I had to look that up in the dictionary, I guessed it meant good-bye but I had to check)
