[Pinned] A Message from Joey regarding the Bordeaux show.

I'm writing to address the situation which took place in Bordeaux on Thursday night. As it has been seen in videos online, I threw my guitar and walked off stage, I want to clear up what exactly happened. I have a condition with my ears called Tinnitus, which in my case is very severe, and has been causing me excruciating pain for 2 years now. That night In Bordeaux, my Tinnitus was at an extreme. I wanted to come out and play the best show that I could. However due to technical difficulties, and high end feedback that persisted in the monitors, the pain within my ears became unbearable. I tried to attempt to play after I walked off the first time but it got worse. I'm okay, but i have to watch my ears so as not to cause any permanent damage. I want to apologize to the fans in attendance in Bordeaux, I meant no disrespect whatsoever and I hope that my fans understand this. This had happened when I was 7 or 8 (i'm 21 now) and buzzing never back again. I will ask her if it was the same thing. (more information about tinnitus). But I hope Joey doesn't play without ear plug x) So I ask to my mother, it wasn't an operation. Only injection to stop the buzzing. I don't know if it will be usefull for Joey.

Honestly, I don't think the situation was carried in the best light but seriously if I was in that position I would have thrown my guitar and I pulled it all off as well. People were quick to judge. I have seen the comments but seriously it seems like something the most people would have done anyway and I don't think any less of Joey knowing he isn't exactly the most mature person out there and that fact that he must have been in a hell a lot of pain. Whats terrible about this too, is that the ears are so desperatley important and vital to a musician.... so for some people to pass it off as "earache" or " just a ringing in the ears" is really unfair to be honest. Its excruciatingly painful for Joey, and many others. Some people with it, are actually blessed that they only have it mildly.

If ever there was a musican that truley loves his fans it is Joey. A true fan would have is back 100%. Thats just my two cents anyway. Love you Joey . Thank you JoJo for everything you do for the band and us fans.
